Katalin Haász the winner of the scholarship of the Hungaryan academy Rome

Haász Katalin’s painting compresses her own empirical knowledge and idea of nature into a concentrated sign using the Mobius strip as her main theme, an inalienable sign of Haász’s art. She creates a closed, exact, finite system which possesses topological tension and mathematical rigidity. However, Haász goes beyond the mere geometric abstraction of the sign to provide a concise interpretation of unseen reality.

While geometric forms are usually characterised by definite contours and solidity, Haász’s symbols go through a gentle, graceful and easy metamorphosis.

Her latest research focused on the projected shadow of a sundial Mobius strip.
